ONE ON ONE
Kristina Pujkilović ON Weaving Time
The film portrays the people of Meghalaya (India) who create and maintain the living root bridges. WEAVING TIME is an impressive documentary of the beauty and vulnerability of this unique cultural heritage - and shows that architecture should not be seen as something rigid and finished, but as a vibrant, cross-generational cultural and social process.
In this episode of ONE ON ONE, the curator, Kristina Pujkilović, filmmaker and researcher at the Chair of Green Technologies at the Technical University of Munich talks about what living bridges are, what aspects can be derived from this historical example for current and future architectural planning, and asks the question of who we are building for.
The exhibition TREES, TIME, ARCHITECTURE! DESIGN IN CONSTANT TRANSFORMATION at the TUM Architecture Museum in the Pinakothek der Moderne runs until 14 September 2025.
